Kino Content is a video production agency located in the heart of Los Angeles. Founded by Michael Villafan & Mariel Favila, they set out to help local businesses and artists compete in the digital market space by providing accessible, high-quality video production and marketing services.
Mariel Favila, Marketing Director
With a background in Marketing Direction, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, I dedicated my first year out of college diving into the Art Industry in Mexico City. Paving a steady marketing career surrounded by artists, curators, gallery directors and art collectors that related around the fluidity of art. Understanding how to effectively execute Marketing in this field unveiled abstract insights about the behavior of customers and businesses that remain true today: desire, aura, and display. The marketing strategies that I create embody the character of their brand, their business ambitions, and deep knowledge of the people they are giving value to. Marketing in its purest form always maintains an ethical relationship on a full scope, and keeps an innovative mindset to improve overall lives.
Michael Villafan, Creative Director
With an academic background in in film and media from UC Santa Barbara, I started my career on various hands on projects ranging from creating and executing social media campaigns for an eco-tourism startup in Mexico City, to helping produce a feature length documentary here in Los Angeles. Having worked with array of people to help them develop and execute their creative visions into an audiovisual product gave me a better understanding of the universal applications of storytelling. These technical and theoretical techniques I apply to elevate the digital image of our diverse clientele to elevate themselves from their competition.
